This wonderful couple’s engagements were so much fun, I couldn’t help but eagerly anticipate their wedding day. Here are some of my favorite shots, among which lies probably one of my favorite ring shots of all time.

The top of a step ladder, forcefully stating “NOT A STEP”… Then the rings, sitting in front, begging to differ! hahaha!

Ok, here we go.

Wil & Ashley:

Enis (pronounced Eh-niss) and Whitney were a joy to work with. Total goofballs and really comfortable with themselves.

So much so that when I had to run back to my car to grab something and come back, they took a smoke break. I asked if I could shoot them smoking and they said sure. I know it’s a nasty habit, they know it’s a nasty habit, and I’m sorry, but I don’t care; I love shots of people smoking – wedding or not. There’s something I find really interesting about it and if you dig deep enough, you’ll find some of my work with models smoking.

LOVE that shot of this couple! Let’s show a little character!

My new project FINALLY gets unveiled tomorrow! It’s one that’s very near and dear to my heart, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I’m excited to share it with you all.

In the last little while, especially in the last couple of weeks, I’ve fallen behind too far for my taste… And two weeks to fall behind in the middle of summer is an eternity.

So in the COMING two or three weeks, I’ll be working my butt off to catch up on the blog among many, MANY other areas of my varied work. One of my goals will be to finally launch my efforts to move to beautiful New York City :)

I’ve mentioned this on my Facebook profile and I want to repeat it here, ’cause I own this here blawg: “I live in Salt Lake City. I live in my house… But I wanna go home.”

It’s a strange thing to still not be able to call Salt Lake City my home… I’ve lived here almost 10 years! But when I really feel like I’m going home, I’m thinking about Belgium or Lebanon. Now, I wanna live in the states, and I think I’ll have no issues calling New York my home.

Ok, here we go: here’s Tim & Carrie’s wedding!

By far the oddest request I’ve had for weddings this year was from this couple.

Cliff & Jjana: “Could you NOT shoot pictures at the ceremony?”

Me: “No pictures at the ceremo–…” THUD! I fall to the ground.

When I finally came to I was in a hospital and was told I’d been in a coma for 12 years. That’s weird… I must have traveled back in time during my coma.

But as much as I tried to convince the beautiful couple to let me take pictures during the ceremony, they insisted that as actors currently living in DC, they’d become too aware of themselves with a camera clicking away to be natural during the part of the wedding they didn’t want anyone to remember in any way but in their hearts.

I respect that. They knew what they wanted, they knew what they were giving up but felt that what they were gaining was greater.

Cliff & Jjana were an absolute dream to work with. Very laid back and the coolest personalities. And their guests were too (see?).

Hope you enjoy the photography and Happy Memorial Day!
